Job Description
Dubai Schools Al Barsha is hiring a Translator for English-Arabic. Translate documents and provide interpretation for meetings. Bachelor degree required, 2+ years experience preferred in education. Native fluency in both languages.
## Key Accountabilities
- Translation: Accurately translate written documents, texts, or spoken content from English to Arabic and vice versa
- Interpretation: Provide real-time interpretation for meetings, conferences, interviews
- Proofreading and Editing: Review translated content for accuracy, coherence and grammar
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ensure translations are culturally appropriate
- Terminology Management: Create and maintain glossary of technical terms
- Research: Stay updated on industry-specific terminology
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with discretion
- Time Management: Meet deadlines for multiple translation projects
## Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English or Arabic
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of translation experience, preferably in educational environment
- Competencies: Native or near-native fluency in English and Arabic
- Knowledge of cultural nuances of both languages
- Organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work as team player and under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communication
