Teaching Assistant

## Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily educational activities and classroom management.
- Help deliver learning experiences that support children's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Maintain a secure, healthy, and caring learning environment for all children.
- Provide support with feeding, toileting, and other personal care needs while respecting each child's individual requirements.
- Promote children's language, social, and physical development through supervised activities.
- Follow nursery procedures, including safeguarding and positive behaviour policies.
- Encourage exploration by introducing a range of learning materials and resources.
- Teach and reinforce personal hygiene, healthy eating habits, and appropriate social behaviour.
- Prepare classroom materials, learning resources, and activity areas according to the daily schedule.
- Complete assigned classroom cleaning duties and maintain an organised environment.
- Adjust teaching support and learning materials to accommodate different learning needs and interests.
- Observe children for developmental, emotional, or health concerns and report them to the classroom teacher, nurse, or principal when appropriate.
- Organise classroom displays and showcase children's work.
- Conduct routine risk assessments and supervise both indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborate with colleagues on weekly learning plans.
- Participate in team activities and support school events held outside regular school hours when required.
- Use classroom resources responsibly and report damaged or missing materials.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues while supporting the school's educational approach.

## Requirements
- High school diploma is the minimum educational requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or English/Arabic Language is preferred.
- CACHE Level 2 qualification is required.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Two to three years of similar experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices, curriculum development, and teaching methods.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of budgeting, resource management, and financial planning principles.
- Familiarity with licensing requirements and regulatory compliance in early childhood education.
