Job Description
Sunset Hospitality Group in Manama, Bahrain is seeking a General Manager to lead Azure Beach Club. The role oversees all operational, financial, and commercial functions of the resort, including team leadership, budgeting, service standards, and strategic planning. This full-time, on-site position requires 15-20 years of hospitality experience with luxury and international exposure, and a strong track record in pre-opening and managing high-end venues.
## Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational functions of the resort to ensure smooth daily performance
- Conduct regular briefings and meetings with heads of departments
- Ensure full compliance with operating controls, SOPs, policies, and service standards
- Lead key property initiatives including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishments
- Manage guest complaints and oversee service recovery procedures
- Own the preparation and achievement of the annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan, and Capital Budget
- Drive ongoing profitability and ensure revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
- Make decisions aligned with the best interests of the resort and management
- Set and deliver short- and long-term strategic goals for the property
- Monitor daily business reports and take data-driven decisions
- Prepare monthly financial reports for owners and stakeholders
- Develop revenue and cost plans and budgets for ownership
- Oversee procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and manage vendor contracts
- Act as final decision maker in hiring key staff
- Manage and develop the Executive team to support career growth and succession
- Take ownership of department head responsibilities and all guest complaints
- Lead business planning and perform other duties as assigned
## Requirements
- 15–20 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Significant exposure to luxury and international hospitality environments
- Experience across both hotels and stand-alone venues preferred
- Proven track record in pre-opening and opening new venues
- Outstanding management and hands-on operational skills
- Strong understanding of P&L statements and ability to implement impactful strategies
- Excellent computer and reporting skills
- Strategic thinking and strong planning capabilities
