Job Description
McLaughlin House is seeking a part-time caregiver to provide daily support for an adult male in Scotts Valley, California. The primary responsibility involves accompanying the individual on neighborhood walks for a few hours each morning while ensuring safe and appropriate care. Candidates should have relevant experience, current CPR and First Aid certifications, and meet background screening requirements.
## Responsibilities
- Accompany an adult male on daily walks within the local neighborhood for approximately 2–3 hours.
- Begin the daily support shift around 10:00–11:00 a.m. as scheduled.
- Provide attentive care and assistance throughout the outing.
- Perform personal care tasks, including cleaning after bowel movements when necessary.
## Requirements
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Background check completed within the last year, or willingness to obtain one before September 1.
- Ability to comfortably provide personal hygiene assistance.
