Job Description
Virgin Megastore MENA is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage and improve shipment operations across the supply chain. The position focuses on coordinating transportation activities, maintaining compliance with logistics requirements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting efficient product availability through organized logistics processes.
## Responsibilities
- Manage shipment activities from planning through final delivery while ensuring schedules and service commitments are met.
- Verify shipping records, customs documentation, insurance papers, and delivery files, resolving inconsistencies and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with internal departments including Logistics, Commercial, and Finance, as well as external service providers such as freight forwarders, customs agents, insurers, and suppliers.
- Monitor shipment progress and product requests to support inventory needs and distribution priorities.
- Produce regular logistics reports outlining shipment performance, operational risks, and improvement recommendations.
- Investigate recurring logistics challenges and recommend solutions that improve delivery accuracy, transit time, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain updated records of local, regional, and international logistics partners while evaluating service quality and data accuracy.
- Ensure all logistics activities follow company policies and applicable local and international regulations.
- Assist with audits by supplying complete shipment records and logistics documentation.
- Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, customer focus, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
