Job Description
BFL Group, a leading off-price fashion and homeware retailer in the UAE, is hiring an IT Support specialist. The role covers hardware/software installation, network monitoring, troubleshooting, POS and retail device support, and user account management across stores and offices. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2+ years experience. Rotational shifts required.
## Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners, handheld devices, and WiFi
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks across offices and stores
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and support requests via phone or in person
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary
- Support the roll-out of new applications and technologies
- Set up new user accounts and profiles
- Manage backups, email systems, licensing renewals, MS Teams, Office 365, VPN, and remote connectivity
- Install, configure, and support retail hardware including POS terminals, invoice/receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash drawers
- Provide on-site and remote support to retail shops to ensure POS and billing systems remain operational
- Prioritize and manage multiple open cases, and work continuously on tasks until completion
- Test and evaluate new technology and provide proactive maintenance
## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support role
- Working knowledge of a variety of software, hardware, and business applications
- In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and IT infrastructure
- Up-to-date knowledge of latest IT and software trends
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willing to work on rotational shifts
- Ability to support retail environments and handle pressure in fast-paced settings
