Job Description

Doha Bank is seeking an International Compliance & AML Officer to support the International Compliance & AML team and collaborate with compliance teams across overseas branches in Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, and India. The role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, coordinates inspections, monitors corrective actions, and supports reporting for AML/CFT and sanctions programs. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 5 years of experience in financial services with a focus on compliance.

## Responsibilities
- Support formulation and implementation of Compliance and AML/CFT inspection plans and compliance programs for overseas branches with tracking and escalation
- Evaluate effectiveness of systems, policies, and internal controls to mitigate compliance, regulatory, and AML/CFT risks
- Liaise with overseas compliance teams for timely submission of records, central bank inspection follow-ups, action plans, and rectifications
- Identify violations and update reporting authorities with recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Ensure timely completion and submission of periodic reports to stakeholders in line with local regulations
- Support annual Due Diligence AML Questionnaire exercise for exchange companies and highlight gaps
- Contribute to internal training on regulatory guidelines and AML/CFT procedures
- Support review and gap analysis of international compliance & AML/CFT policies to align with QCB, Qatar Law, and local regulations
- Coordinate with overseas teams and external consultants on risk assessments, AML/CFT reviews, and resolution of observations
- Follow up on outstanding issues per annual inspection plan and report status to International Compliance & AML team and CCO
- Investigate significant compliance incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and support corrective actions
- Oversee compliance review of new products for overseas branches and highlight gaps
- Prepare and submit inspection reports to HO for Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee
- Support QCB reviews related to overseas branches
- Maintain confidentiality, professional conduct, and adherence to audit and compliance controls

## Requirements
- University degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry
- Previous experience in Compliance, Regulatory, or AML/CFT function required
- Strong knowledge of QCB AML/CFT Instructions, Qatar AML/CFT Law, and international regulatory frameworks
- Experience coordinating with overseas branches and regulators is an advantage
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
