Job Description
Confidential Careers is seeking a Contracts Specialist to oversee procurement and contract management activities for the organization. The role combines strategic sourcing, contract preparation and administration, supplier coordination, and procurement governance while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
## Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize contract documentation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Administer post-award contract activities, including amendments, extensions, warranty matters, claims, and contract completion.
- Execute category-based sourcing initiatives and establish procurement agreements such as Call-Off Agreements, BPAs, and Open Purchase Orders in accordance with approved policies.
- Assist in producing tender and procurement documentation for required goods and services.
- Maintain and update contractual terms and purchase order conditions as needed.
- Contribute to standardization initiatives and service evaluation committees within the organization.
- Support procurement activities involving high-value or high-risk purchases when assigned.
- Review both technical and commercial bid evaluation reports before approval in line with the organization's authority framework.
- Recommend and implement improvements to procurement policies, procedures, and operational performance.
- Research applicable regulations to help ensure contracts remain compliant with legal and organizational requirements.
- Conduct market research, sourcing analysis, cost-benefit evaluations, supplier engagement, tendering, bid assessments, negotiations, and purchase order preparation.
- Provide procurement governance support and reporting assistance to the Head of Procurement & Contracts.
## Requirements
- Experience in contract management, procurement, strategic sourcing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of contract drafting, negotiation, administration, and post-award management.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, tendering, supplier evaluation, and contract governance.
- Ability to perform market research, cost-benefit analysis, and commercial evaluations.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with business units, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
