Job Description
Support the compliance function at CFI Financial Group in Bahrain under the supervision of the Head of Compliance and MLRO. This role ensures CFI’s operations align with CBB regulations and local laws through daily compliance tasks, risk assessment, audits, and AML activities. ## Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and updating the Compliance Policy and Procedures manual in line with CBB laws and circulars
- Identify, assess, and escalate compliance and legal risks related to new products, services, and marketing campaigns
- Prepare documentation and materials for Board of Directors committee meetings as required
- Support internal and external audit processes by gathering documents, maintaining audit trails, and drafting responses
- Deliver compliance awareness training to CFI teams on AML, financial crime, and anti-bribery topics
- Review legal documents, contracts, KYC forms, and account opening documents for regulatory compliance
- Monitor trading activities and escalate breaches to the Head of Compliance
- Draft compliance reports and management information for senior management review
- Perform KYC, CDD, and EDD reviews for client onboarding and periodic reviews
- Conduct sanctions screening and PEP checks in line with AML/CFT framework
- Review transaction monitoring alerts and assist in preparing Suspicious Transaction Reports for MLRO
- Maintain AML/CFT records, registers, and logs to ensure audit readiness
## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or related function within financial services
- Working knowledge of CBB regulations and GCC financial services compliance frameworks
- AML certification such as CAMS or ICA is an advantage but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
