Job Description

Assets Group is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Doha to manage end-to-end financial operations across multi-market business units. The role goes beyond routine bookkeeping and involves handling large-scale transactions, preparing decision-ready financial insights, and serving as a key financial contact for internal and international stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for a results-driven accountant with strong ERP and reporting capabilities.

## Responsibilities
- Own the full Accounts Payable cycle: invoice receipt, verification, coding, approval routing, payment processing, and reconciliation
- Manage vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor relationships across regions
- Process high-volume and high-value transactions, including payments and commitments in the millions, accurately and on time
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cost reports, converting data into actionable insights for leadership
- Analyze cost, revenue, and commitment trends to support forward-looking business decisions
- Develop variance reports comparing budgeted vs. actual costs and proactively flag risks and opportunities
- Present financial information in clear, visual, real-time, and audit-ready formats
- Act as the trusted financial point of contact for internal departments and international business units
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders and senior management
- Support planning, budgeting, and investment discussions with financial insights
- Develop and maintain recordkeeping and accounting systems using ERP platforms, with SAP preferred
- Ensure real-time accuracy and availability of financial data across all reporting systems
- Support HSE and IMS-aligned initiatives as required

## Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of overall accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant role
- Strong command of GAAP and general accounting principles applicable across industries
- Proven experience managing full-cycle Accounts Payable independently
- Demonstrated ability to handle large-scale financial volumes and multi-million budgets
- Strong ERP proficiency; SAP experience strongly preferred
- International or multi-market exposure preferred; GCC experience is a plus
- Excellent analytical and financial storytelling skills to translate numbers into business narratives
- Strong character, integrity, and resilience under pressure
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Agility to adapt across industries, systems, and geographies
- AI fluency to enhance reporting speed and accuracy
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or CPA certification preferred
